Shannon and Chris are getting hitched next August, it was always Shannon's dream to have a fall wedding in an apple orchard at the peak of the gorgeous fall color. Since that couldn't be a reality we decided to shoot their engagement pictures at the iconic CNY orchards of Beak and Skiff. Megan is a about as obsessed with Pinterest as I am, she came armed with many wonderful handmade props and tons of ideas for images she wanted to create at the picturesque Watkins Glen Falls. Bill is one of the most patient grooms I have ever encountered since he happily agreed to try all of our unconventional ideas (you really earned a post session drink...or four). In addition to trying out all sorts of new ideas we went to the park on a very busy Saturday afternoon so we spent a good amount of time waiting for the sightseers/gawkers/well-wishers to move out of the frame! When the opportunity arose to jump a wall and get into the stream I was all over it (despite being 7 months pregnant), if you ever go on a shoot with me you'll quickly discover that I am a bit of a rule breaker and I love it when my clients are up to my adventures! Amelia and Patrick met and fell in love at Syracuse University (I am sure they bleed orange), naturally we went to campus to tell that aspect of their love story (it's where I got my Masters so I was right in my element too). The other half of the images were made in Skaneateles with their energetic fur baby, Colbie (it happens to be where Patrick proposed). Amelia and Patrick really brought the ideas which made for lovely moments in meaningful places for this couple. I am looking forward to their SU infused wedding next October!!

Katherine and Daniel met when she was photographing a wedding in which Daniel was one of the groomsmen, when she asked him a simple question he became so flustered that he couldn't manage to answer her normally...he was so struck by her beauty that he was at a loss for words. That's a pretty awesome story and very believable considering Katherine is a real beauty inside and out (Daniel is no slacker in that category either).
